Coal mining and storage
In coal mines, when a fire breaks out in the oxidation zone of the goaf, the biggest disaster is the explosion of the internal mixed gas. Nitrogen filling can control the oxygen content in the mixed gas below 12%, which not only suppresses the probability of explosion, but also prevents coal from spontaneous combustion, making the working environment safer.
Oil and natural gas extraction
Nitrogen is the standard gas used to repressurize oil and gas from large wells/natural gas reservoirs. Utilizing nitrogen's own characteristics to maintain oil reservoir pressure, mixed phase and immiscible oil displacement and gravity drainage technologies can greatly increase oil recovery, which is also of great significance to stabilizing oil production and increasing oil production.
Petroleum and petrochemicals
According to the characteristics of inert gas, nitrogen can establish an inert atmosphere during the processing, storage and transfer of flammable materials, eliminating and replacing harmful toxic and flammable gases.
Chemical industry
Nitrogen is an important raw material for synthetic fibers (nylon, acrylic), synthetic resin, synthetic rubber, etc. Nitrogen can also be used to make chemical fertilizers, such as ammonia bicarbonate, ammonium chloride, etc.
Pharmaceuticals
In the pharmaceutical industry, the ammonia filling process can effectively improve the quality of drugs, whether it is infusions, water injections, powder injections, freeze dryers or oral liquid production, etc.
Electronics, electricity, cables
Filled light bulbs. Fill the bulb with atmosphere to prevent oxidation of the tungsten filament and slow down the evaporation rate of the tungsten filament, thus extending the life of the bulb.
Edible fats and oils
The fluorine-filled oil storage tank is filled with nitrogen into the oil storage tank and exhausts air from the oil storage tank to prevent the oil from being oxidized, thus ensuring the safe storage of grease. The higher the nitrogen content and the lower the oxygen content, the better for dry storage. It can be said that nitrogen content has a huge impact on the storage of edible oils and greases.
Food and drinks
In order to facilitate storage, cereals, cans, fruits, beverages, etc. are usually packed with nitrogen to prevent corrosion.
Plastic chemical industry
Nitrogen is introduced into the molding and cooling process of plastic parts, using nitrogen to reduce deformation caused by pressure on the plastic parts, resulting in stable, accurate plastic part dimensions. Using nitrogen injection molding can improve the quality and design flexibility of injection molded products. According to different process conditions, the purity of nitrogen required for plastic injection molding is different. Therefore, it is not suitable to use bottled nitrogen. It is best to use an on-site pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator to directly supply nitrogen.
Rubber and resin production
Rubber nitrogen vulcanization process, that is, during the rubber vulcanization process, nitrogen is added to act as a protective gas.
Production of automobile tires
Filling the tires with nitrogen can improve the stability and comfort of the tires, prevent punctures, and extend the life of the tires. Nitrogen has poor audio conductivity. Using nitrogen can reduce tire noise and improve driving comfort.
Metallurgy and heat treatment
Protective gas for continuous casting, continuous rolling and steel annealing: converter roof and bottom are suitable for blowing ammonia for steelmaking, converter steelmaking sealing, blast furnace top sealing, blast furnace ironmaking pulverized coal injection gas, etc.
New materials
Heat treatment atmosphere protection for new materials and composite materials.
Aviation and aerospace
Normal temperature gas nitrogen is used to protect aircraft, rocket and other components from explosion, rocket fuel booster, launch pad replacement gas and safety protection gas, astronaut control gas, space simulation room, cleaning gas for aircraft fuel pipelines, etc.
Biofuels
For example: When using corn to produce ethanol, nitrogen protection is required.
Fruit and vegetable storage
Commercially, controlled atmosphere storage of fruits and vegetables has been developed worldwide for more than 70 years. Nitrogen is a more advanced fruit and vegetable preservation facility. Fruits and vegetables are processed in a controlled atmosphere, which helps to improve the preservation effect, extend their shelf life, and meets all pollution-free standards for green storage.
Grain storage
During the storage of grain, the introduction of nitrogen can prevent the grain from spoiling due to the influence of microorganisms, insect activity or the respiration of the grain itself. Nitrogen can not only reduce the oxygen content in the air, destroy the physiological activities of microorganisms and the living environment of insects, but also inhibit the respiration of the grain itself.
Laser cutting
Nitrogen is used for laser cutting stainless steel to prevent the welded part from being oxidized by oxygen when it is exposed to air, and it also prevents pores from appearing in the weld.
Welding protection
When welding metals, nitrogen can be used to protect the metal from oxidation.
Protect historical relics
In museums, some precious and rare painting pages are often filled with nitrogen, which makes it impossible for mites to survive. Thus achieving the protection effect of ancient books.
Fire prevention and fire extinguishing
Nitrogen has no combustion-supporting effect, and an appropriate amount of nitrogen injection can play a role in fire prevention and fire extinguishing.
