Types and characteristics of PSA nitrogen generator
Nitrogen generator refers to a device that uses air as raw material and uses physical methods to separate oxygen and nitrogen in it to obtain nitrogen. Nitrogen generator is a Nitrogen Production equipment designed and manufactured according to pressure swing adsorption technology. The material performance of the control valve of the pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator should be good, there should be absolutely no leakage, and it can be frequently switched on and off. There are four types of nitrogen generators in general enterprises, namely: pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator, box-type pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator, nitrogen generator and membrane separation nitrogen generator.
Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator: The ambient air is compressed and purified to remove oil, water and dust, and then enters the pressure swing adsorption device composed of two adsorption towers filled with carbon molecular sieve (CMS). Compressed air flows through the adsorption tower from bottom to top, during which oxygen molecules are adsorbed on the surface of the carbon molecular sieve, and nitrogen flows out from the upper end of the adsorption tower and enters the crude nitrogen buffer tank. After a period of time, the carbon molecular sieve in the adsorption tower is saturated with the adsorbed oxygen and needs to be regenerated. Regeneration is achieved by stopping the adsorption step and reducing the pressure of the adsorption tower. The two adsorption towers alternately adsorb and regenerate to ensure the continuous output of nitrogen.

Nitrogen generator: Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator uses clean compressed air as raw material and carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent to obtain nitrogen at room temperature using the principle of pressure swing adsorption. According to the difference in the adsorption amount of oxygen and nitrogen on the surface of carbon molecular sieve in the air and the different diffusion rates of oxygen and nitrogen in carbon molecular sieve, the opening and closing of the programmable valve is controlled by the programmable controller to realize the process of pressurized adsorption and decompression desorption, complete the separation of oxygen and nitrogen, and obtain nitrogen of the required purity.
Membrane separation nitrogen generator: The ambient air is compressed and purified, and after removing oil, water and dust, it enters the membrane separator for separation. Oxygen, carbon dioxide and a small amount of water vapor in the compressed air will quickly penetrate the membrane wall and be discharged under atmospheric pressure through the exhaust holes on the side of the membrane group pressure box; while nitrogen in the air penetrates the membrane wall slowly, flows along the fiber holes and flows out at the product gas collecting pipe at the end of the pressure box, and then enters the product nitrogen buffer tank.
