Key points for using nitrogen generators
Nitrogen generators use air as raw material and carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent. They apply the principle of pressure swing adsorption and use carbon molecular sieve to selectively adsorb oxygen and nitrogen to separate nitrogen from oxygen. Compared with traditional Nitrogen Production methods, it has the advantages of simple process flow, high degree of automation, fast gas production (16-30 minutes), low energy consumption, product purity can be adjusted in a wide range according to user needs, convenient operation and maintenance, low operating cost, and strong adaptability of the device. Therefore, it is quite competitive in instruments below 1000Nm3/h and is increasingly popular among small and medium-sized nitrogen users. This instrument has become an ideal equipment for small and medium-sized nitrogen users.
The Nitrogen Generator collects outside air into the gas storage tank through an air compressor, and then introduces the air into the electrolytic separation tank to separate nitrogen and oxygen in the electrolytic cell. Oxygen is released into the atmosphere, and nitrogen is output after purification and drying. The output of nitrogen can be automatically adjusted by the system pressure. The instrument can be used intermittently or continuously, and the purity of the gas produced does not decay. Equipped with multi-level protection devices, it is safe, reliable and stable. The instrument is mainly composed of an electrolysis system, a pressure control system and a purification system. Electrolysis of hydrogen uses membrane separation technology, and the pressure is controlled by an infrared photoelectric device. The output of nitrogen can be automatically adjusted as needed to keep the pressure stable.

Precautions for using of nitrogen generators:
The air inlet filter of the nitrogen generator needs to be cleaned regularly. The cycle depends on the indoor dust situation. Ultrasonic cleaning can keep the air inlet unobstructed. Otherwise, it is easy to increase the workload and heat the compressor. When the temperature is too high, overheating protection will occur, resulting in shutdown.
Since the compressor of the nitrogen generator is an inductive load, the instantaneous current during power-on and power-off is several times higher than that during normal operation, and it is easy to fuse, so a 6A fuse should be selected.
Since the compressor equipped with this instrument works in open circuit mode, the lubricating oil will be discharged from the machine with water, causing consumption. Therefore, after one year of use, the compressor should be properly lubricated, and the oil filling port can be near the compressor outlet or from the air inlet. It is recommended to add 200 grams of No. 18 refrigeration oil.
In order to avoid excessive moisture in the machine and affect the air purity, you need to press the drain switch for a few seconds before shutting down each time. The drain pipe can be connected to a plastic bottle to avoid splashing water, and it should not be less than once a day.
The drying tube of the nitrogen generator should be replaced regularly. When 50% of the color-changing silica gel in the drying tube changes color, the inner packaging should be replaced. Replacement method: Turn off the power and empty the system gas. Unscrew the purification tube in the direction indicated by the arrow, then unscrew the end cap of the purification tube and replace the silica gel desiccant.
When replacing the desiccant, pay attention to putting all the absorbent cotton into the pipe to ensure that it has no effect on the sealing end face, so as to ensure that it can be sealed after the end cap is tightened.
The nitrogen generator does not consume KOH during operation, but it is recommended to replace the electrolyte every six months. When replacing the electrolyte, first take out the waste alkali solution in the nitrogen generator, add distilled water, start the instrument, let the system clean the electrolysis system for about 6-10 minutes, take out the distilled water and add it to the prepared new electrolytic alkali solution. In order to strictly implement the start-stop operation process, after using the generator for the second time or replacing the desiccant, put the nitrogen exhaust valve in the exhaust state for 2 hours, and pull out the handle after the air in the drying tube is completely replaced.
Each time you turn off the power supply of the nitrogen generator motor, please open the drain valve of the gas tank behind the generator first, discharge the air in the gas tank, and reduce the air and nitrogen pressure gauges to 0. Then close the gas tank drain valve, push the nitrogen drain valve handle inward, and the shutdown procedure is completed. After shutting down according to this procedure, the next time you start the machine, the drain time can be shortened to 30 minutes, and you can use nitrogen.
